Word Rain typing game
Type each falling word and press space before it lands. Three misses and the round is over. Short words first; it speeds up every ten words.
Why games help beginners
Games add the one thing drills lack: a reason to keep your eyes up. You cannot watch the falling words and your hands at the same time, so the game quietly rewards touch typing. Use it as a reward at the end of a lesson, not a replacement for lessons: speed without correct fingering locks in bad habits.
Teachers and parents: the lesson course is the structured part, and Word Rain is the fun part. Both run in the browser without an account.
Game FAQ
Is Word Rain suitable for kids?
Yes. Words come from a filtered list of common English words, levels start with short two to four letter words, and there are no ads, chat or accounts.
How do I play?
Words fall from the top of the board. Type a word and press space or Enter to clear it before it reaches the ground. Three words landing ends the game. Every ten words cleared raises the level and the speed.
Does the game count towards my progress?
Yes. Correct letters earn XP and a game counts as a practice day for your streak.
